Ride for Rations was first organised in 2011 with the assistance of Bike-Aid (Singapore). Thereafter, Bike-Aid (Singapore) has been organising Ride for Rations since 2012. Ride for Rations involves cyclist cycling from Malacca to Singapore over 2 days. It raises funds that are used to provide monthly food rations to households living in rental flats in the following estates : Chia Chee, Hougang (since 2014) and Marsiling. Since 2015, Ride for Rations also provides monthly breakfast rations for school going children in these estates. This initiative and effort is in collaboration with Sunlove Abode for Intellectually Infirmed Ltd.
